Pickerington North Girls Basketball overcomes slow start to claim comeback win against Westerville Central

The Pickerington North girls basketball team may have stumbled out of the gate Friday night, but the Panthers closed strong to secure a 34-27 victory over the Westerville Central Warhawks.
Junior Elina Stefanitsis caught fire in the second half, knocking down clutch shots on her way to a team-high 13 points. Mariah Hawthorne provided key support with timely three-pointers that energized the student section and brought the Pickerington North gymnasium to life.
Tatum Woodbury also made her presence felt defensively, recording a momentum-shifting block in the second quarter that helped turn the tide and propel the Panthers to the win.
Pick North is back in action this afternoon at 2 PM as the game was moved up due to the impending winter weather headed for Central Ohio. We wish the Panthers the best as they battle Lancaster.
