PHOTOS: Pickerington North Girls Basketball vs. Grove City
The Pickerington North Panthers and Grove City Greyhounds collided for a physical contest in the Ohio Capital Conference on Friday night. It was a defensive struggle for both teams as the score was tied at 16-16 at the break.
Defense would continue to be key to the game, but the Panthers found themselves on the wrong side of a 37-32 scoreline.
Despite the outcome, Pick North looked strong, getting key buckets from junior Elina Stefanitis and freshman Myah Bolden in the second half. Stefanitis’ classmate Mariah Hawthorne also enjoyed a strong performance as she caused havoc on the defensive side of the ball, forcing numerous jump balls and pressuring the Greyhounds’ backcourt.
North returns to action today against Hilliard Darby with tip-off scheduled for 12:30 PM.
