Kevin McGuff resumes head coaching duties for Ohio State Women's Basketball
He served a two-week suspension resulting from an OVI charge on May 6th.
Ohio State women’s basketball head coach Kevin McGuff has returned to his role following a two-week suspension stemming from an OVI charge on May 6.
McGuff, a Dublin, Ohio resident, was charged by the Dublin Police Department after being arrested outside his home, where officers found him sitting in his car, according to the arrest report.
Athletic Director Ross Bjork confirmed the suspension, noting the university’s disciplinary response and ongoing support.
“Kevin has expressed remorse and is cooperating fully with the legal process and the university,” Bjork said in a statement to 10TV. “We addressed this matter by suspending Kevin for two weeks without pay and by ensuring he is getting appropriate support as needed. Moving forward, we will continue to emphasize the importance of personal responsibility and the privilege of representing Ohio State.”
According to Thomas Costello of Land-Grant Holy Land, McGuff’s pre-trial hearing is scheduled for October 7.
Arch City Athletics will provide updates as more details become available.
