We are just days away from the return of Ohio State football as the Buckeyes welcome Ball State to Ohio Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
It’s a massive day in Columbus as the Scarlet and Gray return to action looking to maintain their spot atop the Associated Press Top 25. But in this day and age of streaming, one question looms large: What channel is the game on?
FOX? ESPN? Peacock?
The options can seem endless, but Buckeye fans won’t have to search far for Saturday’s season opener. Ohio State and Ball State will square off at 12:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
Ohio State enters Saturday having won 26 consecutive season-opening games, the longest active streak in the country. A victory over Ball State would give the Buckeyes their 27th straight season-opening win.
Saturday will also be a celebration of Ohio State history.
Former head coach and current Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel will be honored as his name is added to the Ohio Stadium Ring of Honor. The day will also feature the Ohio State Alumni Band, Spirit Day and Football Senior Day.
It was also announced Tuesday that former Buckeye running back and 2002 national champion Maurice Clarett will serve as the first Victory Bell Ringer of the 2026 season, ringing the bell ahead of kickoff.
The action gets underway from Ohio Stadium at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with the No. 1 Buckeyes officially beginning their quest for another run at the College Football Playoff.
