FURYous Gameday Blog: Orlando
Good evening from Nationwide Arena where I’m back on the beat with the Columbus Fury as they welcome the Orlando Valkyries to town. It’s been a grim season for the Fury as they sit in the cellar of Major League Volleyball with a record of 3-14 overall and 0-7 at home.
Columbus returns to action following a 3-1 loss at the hands of the Indy Ignite on March 19th and plays their first home contest inside the Arena District since a clash with the Omaha Supernovas two weeks ago.
The Fury and Valkyries convene for the fourth and final time this season, with the visitors winning two of the previous three matchups. A fun fact for Columbus fans, the Fury’s last victory came at the hands of Orlando on February 22nd, when they took home a 3-1 victory in Central Florida.
Orlando enters the contest as defending champions of MLV and sits fourth in the league standings with a 9-10 record.
Columbus players Raina Terry, Regan Pittman-Nelson, and Abby Walker have been selected to compete in the 2026 MLV All-Star Match. The All-Star Match will take place in Orlando on Saturday, March 28 at Noon ET and will be broadcast live on CBS network television and Paramount+.
I’ll be covering this contest for Columbus Wired. Head on over and support them as we will have plenty of coverage from this game.
Thanks for reading and supporting Arch City!
