Columbus Blue Jackets to kickoff 2025 season with special concert from O.A.R.
The band will play Kemba Live! on Friday, October 3rd
The Columbus Blue Jackets are gearing up for their 25th season in the capital city with a celebration fans won’t want to miss. On Tuesday, the club announced it will host a special 25th Anniversary Concert featuring platinum-certified band O.A.R.
The concert is set for Thursday, October 3 at Kemba Live!, kicking off a weekend of anniversary festivities.

Pre-sale access for CBJ Season Ticket Holders and O.A.R. subscribers begins Tuesday, August 20 at 10 a.m. ET.
General public sales open Friday, August 22 at 10 a.m. ET via AXS.com.

O.A.R.—best known for hits like “Shattered (Turn The Car Around),” “This Town,” and “That Was A Crazy Game of Poker”—has deep ties to both Columbus and the Jackets. The band’s members are Ohio State University alumni and have performed at multiple marquee NHL events hosted by the team, including the 2015 NHL All-Star Game at Nationwide Arena and the 2025 Stadium Series at Ohio Stadium.
The celebration continues on Sunday, October 5, when O.A.R. teams up with former Blue Jackets greats Rick Nash, Jody Shelley, R.J. Umberger and more for the Celebrity Crazy Game of Hockey at the OhioHealth Ice Haus. The game begins at 1:30 p.m. ET, with tickets priced at just $25 through Ticketmaster. Proceeds benefit the John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation.
