Columbus Blue Jackets outlast Montreal in shootout victory
Next up: CBJ travels to Winnipeg on Tuesday night.
The Columbus Blue Jackets struck early but nearly let their lead slip away late in regulation. Instead of allowing momentum to turn against them, the Jackets stayed composed and closed out a 4–3 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night at Nationwide Arena.
Zach Werenski, Adam Fantilli, and Dmitri Voronkov each lit the lamp for Columbus, while goaltender Jet Greaves turned aside 29 shots to secure his third victory in five outings.
