Arch City Athletics Podcast – Episode 7
This week, I catch you up on what’s been going on with me as things start to ramp up across the Columbus sports scene. From new opportunities to familiar sidelines, it’s a busy and exciting time.
The Columbus Eagles are back for the 2026 WPSL season after a dominant 2025 campaign that saw them go 8-0-0, win the Great River Division, and finish as the top-ranked team in the country while outscoring opponents 26-3. Goalkeeper Celeste Sloma is already earning recognition as Defensive Player of the Week, and the Eagles will once again call Fortress Obetz home.
I’ll also be back with Delaware Rising this season, this time as the team photographer on the women’s side. Their schedule drops soon, but they open this Saturday against Ohio City SC at Buckeye Valley High School with a 3 PM kickoff. We’ll also have Lindsey Whitmore joining a future episode to talk more about the club.
The Columbus Aviators picked up their second win of the season with a strong performance against Houston, fueled by a fast start and a solid defensive showing. Jim Tressel was in attendance, adding a little extra buzz to the night. Off the field, a bobblehead promotion ran into logistical issues that led to a postponement, which you can read more about here:

I also talk about one of the best traditions in the city Dime-A-Dog Night with the Columbus Clippers. It’s a staple of the Columbus summer experience, and there’s really not a bad seat at Huntington Park.
Finally, I wrap up my season with Pickerington North High School and take a moment to thank Colin, KJ, and Kelly for everything this year. It’s been a meaningful run.
